Vehicles
In the Darmstadt-Kranichstein Railway Museum, a large collection of over 200 historic vehicles from all epochs of railway history is affectionately restored, presented and demonstrated in operation. Starting with a Württemberg T 3 from 1901, the locomotives of the Deutsche Reichsbahn (V 36, series 41 and 44) to the those of the Deutsche Bundesbahn (series 01.10, series 23) and the electric locomotive series such as 141 or 103. Also the history of private and industrial railways is highlighted with some examples (184 DME, No. 13 “Olga”, VL 12). In addition, there are other small and special vehicles such as a KLIMA snow plogh or a track motor car of railway engineers. In addition, the development of passenger trains and freight wagons is shown, whereat many rarities could be discovered here.
