After the First World War, private railways also modernised their fleets. The Teutoburger-Wald-Eisenbahn at the time procured, among other things, second and third class through coaches with wooden seats that differed only in their wider seat and window spacing.

Our car was delivered as TWE 1 and remained in service until 1973. The paintwork corresponds to that of a typical private railway car of the time.
