The G10 type freight wagons were dismantled in the years from 1959 to 1965. New freight wagons were built from the individual parts according to the UIC standard. These were then designated Gmm(eh)s 60, although this also included corresponding new builds. In this way, about 9800 wagons were built in several designs. From 1965 onwards, the wagons were re-designated according to the type of construction. Our wagon was given the designation Gs 213.
The wagons were still in use by DB AG until the turn of the millennium.
