Since the engineer does not always have every detail of the locomotive in his head, he also has to look up the original plans of the Susi from time to time. They are virtually the “DNA” of the locomotive. It is fascinating to see the accuracy with which these drawings (some of which are dated 1899) were drawn. Without any computer at all!
