141 228-7
Maintenance work is also required on electric locomotive 141 228-7 from time to time. Here it was checked whether the sanding system was still working properly.
Clearing work on the former run-off hill
The construction measures for the new ICE cleaning and stabling facility are casting their shadows ahead. Following last year’s clearing of the former marshalling yard’s track yard, pruning work has now been carried out in the area of the drainage hill and the future “museum island”. This work was carried out by a specialist company on behalf of the client, DB Fernverkehr AG.
The technical and administrative buildings for the new facility will be built on the areas beyond the railway tracks. The track on the right-hand side of the hump will make way for the new ICE washing facility. The left-hand track will be retained and will serve as a reminder of the historical significance of the site as a marshalling yard.
Wismarer railbus T141
Work is due to be carried out on the running gear of the “pig’s snout” T141. It has therefore been moved from its usual place on locomotive shed track 7 to workshop track 1, where the necessary equipment and tools are available for the required work.
The running gear of the “Zuckersusi”, which is permanently parked on track 1, was also able to get a breath of fresh air and was shunted to track 7.
