The advantages and problems of rail transport can be explained well in the model. Therefore, model railways are not only a meaningful but also an educational leisure activity for young and old. Among other things, model railways offer a chance to present important operational concepts, such as tracks, signalling, etc. in a historical context. The MoBaTrain also aims to show the historical development of model railways. To this end, selected model railway layouts as well as individual exhibits will be on display.

The core of the MoBaTrain is formed by two carriages with permanently installed model railway layouts and exhibition showcases. Further carriages/rooms are added depending on the type of event.

The installations are open to the public during the Bahnwelt Days, the Steam Locomotive Festival and the Model Railway Days.
