Operating day at the railway museum

In addition to the regular guided tour of the railway museum’s vehicle collection, you have the opportunity to take a historic museum vehicle for a ride around the museum grounds. Depending on technical and staff availability, either a steam, diesel or electric locomotive, a railcar or a railway master’s trolley will be used. The specific vehicle will be announced in good time a few weeks before the respective operating day. Each vehicle has its own special features that are worth looking over the driver’s shoulder. He explains all kinds of interesting details about the history and technology of the vehicle. An experience for young and old!

The museum is open from 10 am to 4 pm. Guided tours of our vehicle collection take place every half hour to hour (depending on capacity) (duration approx. 1.5 hours) and can be followed by a ride.
