Bahnwelt Calendar 2026

The new Bahnwelt calendar marking 50 years of the railway museum

With our anniversary calendar, we are celebrating 50 years of the Darmstadt-Kranichstein Railway Museum – one of the most important railway museums in Germany. The twelve impressive motifs show various exhibits in the context of unforgettable historical milestones from five decades of living railway culture.

Since the association was founded in 1970 and the museum opened in 1976, dedicated volunteers have preserved the fascination of the railway – not as a silent collection, but as a living museum that brings history to life. The collection, exhibitions and events are constantly changing: in addition to the established annual major events such as the Railway World Days and Steam Locomotive Festivals, new and interesting themes for events and exhibitions are constantly being found to enrich the Bahnwelt offerings.

We would like to thank everyone who supports the voluntary work of the members of the Railway Museum by purchasing the calendar!

The calendar can now be pre-ordered for €25.00 from the Bahnwelt online shop. It can be collected from the Railway Museum during opening hours from mid-November. Shipping is also available for an additional €10.00.

It is thanks to four companies that the calendar could be printed at all: Gruber+Hartmann Tragwerksplanung, Höhne, ImmoHerbst and Karl Traser. Some of the companies have already supported the railway museum in the past. Our sincere thanks also go to them!
