Journey with Santa Claus
On 5 and 6 December 2026, our special steam train will make two journeys from Darmstadt Central Station to Groß-Gerau and back. St Nicholas will board the train en route and, as he makes his rounds through the carriage, will have a little surprise in store for all well-behaved passengers. This entertaining journey is sure to get you in the pre-Christmas spirit!
In Groß-Gerau, railway enthusiasts of all ages have plenty of time on the platform to admire the locomotives and take lovely photos with St Nicholas.
The afternoon train departs at around 2.00 pm and the evening train at around 4.30 pm. The exact timetables and fares will be announced here shortly.
