Naast de reguliere rondleidingen door de voertuigencollectie en de open permanente tentoonstellingen, werd de modelspoorbaan van het historische hoofdstation van Darmstadt uit 1846 live gedemonstreerd. In het opleidingsseinhuis konden ge\u00efnteresseerde bezoekers zich vertrouwd maken met de operationele processen en technische verbindingen in het spoorwegsysteem.\u00a0<span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.2px;\">De aangekondigde paashaas moest zich helaas op korte termijn ziek melden en kon daarom zijn dienst voor de jonge bezoekers niet bewijzen.<\/span>\r\n\r\nAls bijzonder hoogtepunt werd de historische wieldraaibank gedemonstreerd als onderdeel van de rondleidingen in het museum. Hierop werd de aangedreven as van een stoomlocomotief bewerkt om oneffenheden uit het loopvlak van de wielen te verwijderen. Met dit gevarieerde totaalprogramma konden de medewerkers van het spoorwegmuseum opnieuw laten zien hoe veelzijdig en interessant spoorwegtechniek is.\r\n\r\nHartelijk dank aan al onze gasten voor hun
