Het betrof de voormalige Beierse lokaalspoorlocomotief type BB II, Betr-Nr. 2527, gebouwd door Maffei in M\u00fcnchen in 1903, die door de Deutsche Reichsbahn het locnummer 98 727 kreeg. Daarom werd zij op 22 oktober 1972 naar de dichtstbijzijnde ondervloerse draaibank in W\u00fcrzburg gesleept. Zo werd de allereerste speciale rit van de Museumsbahn e.V. gepland voor 11.03.1973. De route liep van W\u00fcrzburg via Ochsenfurt en de toen nog bestaande Gaubahn naar Weikersheim naar Lauda. Hier werd de 98 727 bij het bereiken van de eerste etappebestemming naar Darmstadt losgekoppeld. De wagons van de speciale trein met de passagiers konden in Lauda worden gekoppeld aan een reguliere passagierstrein terug naar W\u00fcrzburg.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element lokaalspoorlocomotief waarvan de watervoorraad niet voldoende is om de hele afstand af te leggen zonder bij te tanken. Daarom werd een stop gepland bij het station van Sonderhofen. Er was een restaurant bij het station om de passagiers te voeden en een vrijwillige brandweer in het dorp, die graag de ongebruikelijke taak op zich nam om een stoomlocomotief van water te voorzien.<br \/>\nTer herinnering aan deze gebeurtenis overhandigde een vertegenwoordiger van de brandweer een wimpel met een toepasselijk opschrift aan de reisleider van de museumspoorweg, en overhandigde de museumspoorweg een foto van de locomotief aan het hoofd bedrijfsvoering van de brandweer.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-0959621 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"0959621\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-6ae6541\" data-id=\"6ae6541\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-978bb35 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"978bb35\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>De passagiers namen de rit met enthousiasme. Naast de waterinname was er veel te zien. Zo was er een speciale stop gepland met een schijnaanloop op een helling. De &#8220;Susi&#8221; beheerste dit met glans en werd toegejuicht door de passagiers.<br \/>\nDeze speciale reis was een belangrijke fase in de ontwikkeling van de vereniging. Eind 1973 was het aantal leden verdrievoudigd tot 50.<br \/>\nEen evaluatie van de gebeurtenissen rond de eerste speciale reis vindt plaats op zaterdag 11.03.2023 met een lezing in de wachtkamer van het museum door Uwe Breitmeier. Hij zal als lange tijd voorzitter van het bestuur en stoker in dienst in die tijd verslag doen van de gebeurtenissen.
