Postmuseum) in totaal twaalf perronwagons en handkarren van verschillende types verwerven, die tot de stopzetting van het postvervoer per spoor in 1992 nog overal te vinden waren in de spoorwegpostkantoren en op de bagage- en postperrons van de data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIedere &#8220;wat oudere&#8221; spoorwegliefhebber zal zich de massa&#8217;s gele postwagens herinneren die schijnbaar ongebruikt en overvol op de perrons stonden, klaar om op elk moment brieven en pakjes van de verzamelpunten van de spoorwegpostkantoren over te brengen naar de verschillende soorten spoorwegpostwagons. Zowel de trekkers als de perronwagons moesten uiterst wendbaar zijn om de laatste wagon zonder schade over de haaks op het perron staande spoorovergangen te kunnen stoten. Zij waren zelfs goed manoeuvreerbaar in stilstand, zodat zij met de hand naar de laaddeuren van de postwagons konden worden gemanoeuvreerd. Omdat het laden snel moest gebeuren: In de late avonduren was het op het centraal station van Frankfurt een alledaags gezicht om de eeuwig lange rijen postwagens over het dwarsperron te zien rollen achter een tractor en de gehaaste reiziger de snelle toegang tot de trein, klaar voor vertrek, te versperren &#8230;.\r\n\r\nDe voertuigen zullen eerst worden gestald, deels geconserveerd en deels zorgvuldig gerepareerd. De zeer goede tot goede staat van instandhouding komt overeen met de buitengebruikstelling in het laatste jaar van exploitatie. In de toekomst zullen zij worden gebruikt bij grote evenementen zoals de Wereldspoordagen om de voormalige spoorwegpost te vertegenwoordigen. Samen met de op de monumentenlijst geplaatste en oorspronkelijk bewaard gebleven en uitgeruste postwagen voor normaalspoorvervoer zal de vroegere postverwerking worden gereconstrueerd.\r\n\r\nWij
