Sinds december 2008 wordt in samenwerking met de stagiairs van de vereniging voor metaaltraining (AVM) R\u00fcsselsheim voortdurend gewerkt aan de reconstructie van loodshekken van een hout-staalconstructie met raamelementen, om de in jaren versleten groene stalen hekken geleidelijk te vervangen. Een paar jaar geleden is de poort aan de achterkant, tegenover de Steinstra\u00dfe, vernieuwd. Nu kon eindelijk het eerste hek aan de kant van de draaischijf worden geplaatst. De pas aangeschafte tweeweg graafmachine was een grote hulp.
