Operating day at the Railway Museum

In addition to the regular guided tour of the Railway Museum’s vehicle collection, you will have the opportunity to drive a historic museum vehicle around the museum grounds. Depending on technical and personnel availability, either a steam locomotive, diesel locomotive, electric locomotive, railcar or a railroad master’s trolley will be used. The specific vehicle will be announced in time a few weeks before the respective day of operation. Each vehicle has its own special features, which are worth looking over the shoulders of the driver. He explains all kinds of interesting details about the history and technology of the vehicle. An experience for young and old!

The museum is open from 10 am to 4 pm. Guided tours of our vehicle collection (duration approx. 1.5 hrs.) take place at half-hourly to hourly intervals (depending on capacity), which you can follow with the ride.
